DESCRIPTION:
Distinct single, deep purple flowers with an edging of white around petals, with a faint perfume, in mid spring. This easy to care for shrub is a welcome addition to any garden.

HEIGHT x WIDTH:
3 metres x 2 metres

SHAPE:
Upright rounded shrub.

FOLIAGE:
Green heart shaped leaves.

FLOWERS:
Single, deep purple flowers with an edging of white around petals. Slight fragrance.

COMMENTS:
Plant in full sun. Prune after flowering. Suited for warm to temperate climates, frost tolerant. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.

TREE CARE:
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
